The dish takes time but it's not too complicated!

Ingredients
(8 persons)
1 packed of green or egg lasagne, 250 gr of grated parmesan.

for the meat sauce
800 gr of minced beef (or 400 gr of minced beef and 400 of minced pork); 2 tins of chopped tomatos; 80 gr of butter; 8 table spoons of olive oil; 1 medium onion; 2 vegetable stock cubes; salt; pepper; tomato puree; 1 glass of white wine.

for the besciamella (white sauce)
1 litre of milk; 100 gr of butter; 100 gr of plain flour, salt; pepper; ground nutmeg.

Instructions
Prepare the meat sauce:chop finely the onion and gently brown it in the oil and melted butter. Add the minced meat and stir fry till brown. Add the glass of white wine and let it evaporate.

Add the chopped tomatos, the stock cubes, the tomato puree salt and pepper and gently cook for at least three hours. If the sauce becomes too thick add water during the cooking.

Prepare the white sauce: in one pan heat up the milk (don't take it to boiling point though). In another melt the butter. Add the flour to the butter and mix making sure all the lumps have gone.

Add little by little the pre heated milk mixing carefully every time to avoid lumps (don't worry if at the beginning the sauce thickens too much when you add the first bit of milk. This is normal). Once the sauce is smooth, add salt and plenty of ground nutmeg.

In an oven dish assemble the lasagne: pour a little olive oil on the bottom of the pan. Add a first layer of lasagne. Pour 1/3 of the meat sauce, 1/3 of the white sauce and 1/3 of the parmisan over the lasagne.

Add another layer of lasagne. Pour 1/3 of the meat sauce, 1/3 of the white sauce and 1/3 of the parmisan over the lasagne. Add a final layer of lasagne.

Pour the remaining 1/3 of the meat sauce, 1/3 of the white sauce and 1/3 of the parmisan over the lasagne. Cook in the oven for approximately 25-30 mins.
