L'ARTE DI MANGIARE BENE |
This is a classic of the Italian cousine literature. Written over a century ago it represents the first attempt at writing a recipe book for everyone, not just chefs. Some recipes appear way weird coming from so long ago but if you like Italian cousine, it's a BOOK TO HAVE!

LES HALLES COOKBOOK |
Anthony Bourdain is famous for writing "Kitchen Confidential" an insight on his life as a chef (by the way an excellent book). But till this book we had no idea on how he wrote recipe books. This books contains all the classic he prepares at Les Halles (his hip joint in NY). French classics a bit on the heavy side maybe but sure tasty! We tried some and they were NO disappointment.

Cooking should be about turning the best products into fantastic dishes. And best products are, by definition, seasonal. This book is a collection of recipes divided into monthly installments where only the season products are used to prepare the various treats. Great concept Hugh

DONOSTI PINXTO A PINXTO |
Fantastic book on donostia and the treats of the cocina vasca. The book describes three simple recipes for pinxto (you can call them "tapas" even if the proud people of San Sebastian will hate the term) prepared by every possible decent jont in San Sebastian. Great stuff

LA CUCINA BOLOGNESE |
In Italy Bologna is considered the town of possibly the greatest food lovers. The town is often referred to as "Bologna la grassa" (Bologna the fat) and, judging from this cookbook the name is well deserved. Pork is the absolute king of this town and his book provides you with superb porky classic dishes to choose from. A powerful tool!
